Lunch Club
Each month on a Thursday, between 30 and 40 guests enjoy a hot two course meal in the Prestbury WI hall. Using the Trust's minibus and volunteer car drivers, the guests are transported door to door for this lively social event.
Shopping
Every Tuesday the minibus is driven by the Warden and/or volunteers providing a door-to-door service to Sainsbury's (Tewkesbury Road) in the morning and Tesco (Bishops Cleeve) in the afternoon. Shoppers can shop independently for an hour, and then have help from our driver to carry heavy bags to their front door.
Friendship Group
For those over 80 years young, volunteers will make birthday visits bringing a card, gift, a friendly smile and company.
Exercise and Scrabble
These groups meet in the village on a Wednesday afternoon. The exercise group is run by a trained practitioner and is designed to promote strength, mobility and balance. These exercises can be carried out whilst seated.
Scrabble is provided for those who wish to exercise the mind instead of the body.
Warden Service
The Warden is a familiar face around the village, helping to coordinate the Trust activities. The warden is usually the first point of contact for anyone who the Trust can help and is available during office hours by telephone or email (could we put a link there?). The warden can also provide details of local tradesmen, cleaners, help lines, care agencies and statutory service providers
